Our week in FreeFlix Media - 14th December, 2020
Lots of firsts during our experiments on the Akash Network; Prep. to launch two additional streams this week; Development of Assets CRUD v2 and Dynamism in Linear Broadcasts & more...
Hey everyone! We’re back with product and business updates from FreeFlix Media Network.
Today, we talk about our exciting participation in the Akash Net Phase-3 challenges, our development within FreeFlix Studio & FreeFlix Nucleus and, finally our plans for the current week.
Updates from last week
We worked on the multiple Akash Network Phase-3 challenges and also deployed FreeFlix Media Network’s dApps - FreeFlix Studio and FreeFlix Nucleus on the Akash Network. Watch the quick preview here:
Preview of FreeFlix Studio and FreeFlix Nucleus functioning on the Akash Network
The participation in this competition not only helped us gain exposure to Akash Network, but also in the process, completely containerized the web app as well as the backend of FreeFlix Studio while the runner for encoding and streaming videos is in the pipeline to get containerized and, until then, it’ll be a cluster of nodes working together.
We have worked towards improving the UX on the Assets CURD v2 system for better upload and quick entry of metadata.
Our work on designing the database schema is going to lead to something interesting..We’ll keep you posted more about it this week.
We got Nucleus for Cosmos TV up & running to check how everything would look and you can check out the preview in the video above.
We have partnered with Dystopia Labs to promote Interchain Conversations, the 2 day conference detailing updates from within and beyond the Cosmos ecosystem.
All videos from ‘The Validator Show’ are now, up on YouTube in three parts — Click Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 to watch them.
From a partnership-implementation standpoint, we’re now working on setting up a couple of POCs for record labels, which will mostly go live this week or in subsequent weeks.
Activities for this week
Within FreeFlix Studio, we aim to iron out issues and update UI/UX for a pipeline of updates to facilitate better UX of current implementations.
Within FreeFlix Nucleus, the web app will see progress with organization specific settings, where each organization can configure their own version of FreeFlix Nucleus (and the interface for this will be within FreeFlix Studio in the coming weeks).
More news on partner implementations through the week will be shared in our next update.
